Welcome to my Web World!

This is the entry point to my Travel and Photo pages in the Web. Everything started the day I moved from conventional to digital photography in 2006 and I selected Flickr as the place to publish my photos. Flickr is one of the best and friendly places for serious amateur photographers.

In January 2007 I decided to create my own photo site and I published several pages with travel tips, maps and photos from my trips: ClixYou Travel Photo.

I usually spend a lot of time planning my trips. Very soon I realized that I could use web pages to store and share my findings  about the places I wanted to see. That is how my Personal Travel Guides were born.

You are invited to take a tour around my Web World. Use the Sitemap to plan your itinerary, and check the left sidebar for new contents in my pages. Good luck!

Photo of the Month [September 2008]

This section will show a different photo every month. The one at the right was taken in March 2008 at the "El Drugstore" restaurant in the small city of "Colonia del Sacramento", in Uruguay.

Colonia is "a typical Portuguese city of the XVII century which today charms tourists from all over the world with its well-preserved architectural richness"
(from www.welcomeuruguay.com)

"The outside tables at this quirky corner restaurant sit on the cobblestones of the Plaza de Armas, with a great view of the Iglesia Matriz. While away the wait for the ferry with a beer and a selection of Spanish-style tapas, or take a break from steak with their seasonally changing ŕ la carte menu, which might include sushi or a fish curry" (from www.fodors.com).

I didn't think too much when I took this photo, but it looks as a well thought composition: brilliant colors, interesting scenario, and some surprises too: can you see how the mirror reflects objects outside the field covered by the camera?

You are invited to visit my Personal Travel Guide for Colonia, and to see more photos of Colonia at my Flickr photo site.
